Hi

I'm new to this forum it was referred by a friend. I need some advise on getting rid of belly fat. I'm 5' 11' 200lbs and I'm starting to get a bit of a belly. I'm not trying to bulk up i just want lean muscle, less body fat, a six pack would be nice too lol. Any info would be great, Thnaks

I have been using this diet for about a week, after changing from another diet I was using for cutting that started to plateau.

I can see some results already and feel good all day, I did start it at the second stage since I was already in calorie deficit for quite some time.

I have been following this plan right to the gram on all macro's, eating all the right carbs protein sources along with good fats where I can fit them. My only doubt is my veges are limited to my dinner meal at the moment as I haven't felt like venturing into the cold broccoli for my morning snacks at work..

I have noticed even by the end of the first day that my metabolism is racing! I am hungry usually within 1hr after eating.

I can usually beat the hunger for an hour till my next meal but I'm wondering if I am hungry before bed should I be eating something extra to avoid an extended fast?

Also this seems to be more of a problem when I have a hard day at work, I have a physical job..

Should I be feeling hungry like the way I mentioned? I feel my energy levels are fine and so far my workouts have been great also.

Just hoping for a bit of a heads up if I am doing anything wrong.
Cheers.

I don't have this problem the first couple weeks or so but as it kicks in I get to the point where Im looking forward to my next meal and that is because your metabolism is in gear and your body is burning all of what your eat.
My last meal of the day is before I go to bed whatever time that is. You need that nutrition for growth and repair and yes it's a long time till your next meal so I try and have it right before sleep.
As I got futher into this diet I would sometimes between meals maybe eat a handful of nuts or something to tie me over to the next meal. It won't hurt anything as your burning like crazy anyway .............11

Sorry didn't see this, You can't target fat areas. Your body burns fat equally so naturally areas that carry more will be last to go.
Just follow my diet for the first 12 weeks and see where your at. You will be leaner I guarantee but you might need that final 3 weeks to get shredded................11

ketchup is not okay as a dieting food. Not sure where you got your information from or if that was just over looked.

Sorry just saw this.

Wanna tell us why instead of it's just not good.
I also make it clear that I don't compete so I'm not about to be choking food down for 15wks. I also said use sparingly or if for major contest not at all at least not near the end.
Only thing in it that would be a problem is a minor amount of corn syrup and 1 tbsp has only 4 carbs so don't see a problem using a very small amount early in the diet. I also mention that in the final 3 wks all condiments are eliminated.................11

First off mad props for this post, it really changed my outlook on cutting efficiently, I'm reworking my whole diet now to mirror this. I was wondering about the cardio though, as all cardio is not necessarily equal i.e. 30 minutes on stationary bike generally != 30 minutes at 6-10mph on the treadmill. Is there a set number of calories I should shoot for while doing cardio?

I'm not sure it matters much, I did this with only 30-40 mins walk a couple of times a week, after about 5 weeks I stopped all cardio all together, weight loss was still good. I did train 6 days a week though usually about 90 min sessions.

When I cardio I walk on a tread mill for min of 20-30min 3xwk at the beginning then increase time and amount of days as I go on. I don't think the type of cardio matters as long as it gets your heart rate up.
Now just to give you an idea of how well this works last summer I did NO cardio at all because of my knee and hip and still got down to -6% BF. Have pics in the Members sec to show.
Do what you feel comfortable doing, near the end you should be doing at least 30 min and no more than 45-50min................11

i think im going to give this a shot. is it necessary to count cals or would it be ok to just count the macros alone?

yea, I'm going to work this program as well. I need to lose close to 30 maybe 40 to get lean. How should i alter the program? Add additional weeks in?

as far as gear...would something like clen, t3 or tren be counterproductive and give the flat look or start to burn too much muscle mass?

so I'm 240 right now so I'm looking at 600 cals a meal?

This diet looks pretty close to what I used for competitions back in the 90's. If you stick to it drop carbs, adjust cardio and add fat burning drugs at plateaus you will get very lean.

Sorry guys I never saw these.
Don't change a thing, 15 is plenty if it's done the way it's designed. Just make adjustments in cardio as needed.
And yes your going to start out at 600 cals per meal then every 3 wks drop 200cals in carbs only spread out over those 6 meals..........11

This is true.
This is a diet use by an Olympia contender and IMO should've been a 2 time winner.
Last cutter I didn't ever do cardio because of my hip, plus I wanted to see how lean I could get not doing it and I got to 6% BF on this diet without cardio. This summer Im going to add cardio.............11

Good sticky I'm going to give this a try. Was 12.7 %BF by caliper test last check (272pounds). Any chance this diet can get me at least down to 6 percent before July 4? I know its hard to say for sure just wanted to know if possible to lose that much fat so quick. Thanks

If you do this for 15 weeks I have do doubt you can if done right. 12.7$ is pretty lean for a starting point, I know calipers aren't the most accurate but I'm sure your in that range.
1-3 lbs a wk is the goal when burning BF so you can be +- 30 lbs lighter when done and most of that fat. Just watch the mirror and make adjustments in your cardio as needed....................11

Just don't get to crazy with the cardio at first, Men for the most part burn fat faster than women because IN MOST CASES we carry more lean muscle. 3xwk 20-30 min to start is good then go up from there as the diet really kicks in. The goal is to burn fat and spare as much muscle as possible not just lose weight.
And no your not highjacking so good luck and remember it's all about discipline and will power. If you have a bad day and get side tracked a little don't worry just get back on track, a day or 2 now and then won't ruin your diet but a week or 2 will....................11
