Welp i had an injury last year that took all of 6-8 months before the pain stopped, at the time i stopped doing heavy lifting and got rid of ANYTHING that caused pain front laterals, side laterals, certain bicep curls, used ALOT of icing and did shoulder rotator cuff excercises for 6 months until the strength came back also kept on cycling tried deca that didn't help for me so i ran test and M1T that did it. Just ice alot that and change you're routine a bit you do not want to reinjure yourself again next time could be the one that blows that shoulder to bits you need to think of ways to strengthen that week spot now i do alot of incline work now thats helped tremendously and today i lift a helluva alot more then i did BEFORE that injury so do it right MTPUMP

They just want to see whats wrong. It's hard to see whats going on unless you actually look inside. It's an easy procedure so they can see inside your shoulder. I'm having the same thing done soon myself so they can see whats wrong.

Re-shoulder

Thanks for you advise guys...
I may have the scope but that down time sucks.
it seems every movement agravates my shoulder. pull-ups, pull downs, even my barbell curls and dummies are weakeron that side.
. Shoulder exersises kill me.
Incline, what is that ha.. haven't did those in so long. It seems I am afraid to do most anything in fear of getting hurt.
WHAT sort of routines did you do when going through this?.

I had surgery 14 months ago for a frayed labrum tendon (which is probably the same tendon you may have damaged) and a damaged AC joint. They fixed the tendon with the scope, but it was just frayed and not detached. Had to have an incision to remove the tip of the collar bone to fix the AC joint problem. I was lifting light weight again after about 4 weeks. It took a while to get over the fear of hurting it again, and even now some exercises bother it, but it is way better than before the surgery. Heavy flat benches with the bar are out of the question now b/c that's what hurts it most, but I'm bigger and stronger than I've ever been even without doing them.
Like macattack said, incline presses are a lot easier on the shoulders.

Thanks bro, man that incline kills me at this point but Iam starting over so it will be a main stay. after rehab.I think you are right about the tendon and that is what I think it is frayed at this point. I do not want it to detach.
Thats why I am going in.

Well heres what i did and still do before working out.

I started out with a 5 pound plate and put my thumb thru the whole and standing with it down to the side of my thigh i run it in a circular motion for 10 clock and counter clockwise, then lift it so its horizontal with my shoulder and do 10 each, then raise it over my head and the same 10 clock and counter clockwise, this is the warm up i do before sitting down to do anything now, i will often take the weight and swing it in front of me like a pendalum this idea was given to me by and old ass timer who had shoulder problems also and it works. I do these very strict and feel the shoulder carrying the weight, holding it all my concentration is on that shoulder.

Ya know something we do look silly to one man but who the fuck cares when it might save us from having an injury that would ruin our lifting careers and maybe alot of other activities we do, try holding yourself up over the wife with one arm LOL not easy especially when your like 280 pounds like myself i'd flatten her so i need both shoulders workin man....

Keep up on the ice it will relieve the pain when nothing else will work i got up many a nights just to ice down my shoulder, also this is when my lifitng pattern changed i never workout more then 2 days in a row and often workout every other day for 3 ( 1 on 1 off, 1 on 1 off 1 o 1 off) and then 2 off, you have got to recover or you're going to have injury's...........period.

OK here are some other things i did especially just after the injury once i was able to come back to the gym,

I put off surgery for years and now wished that I had done it sooner. The down time sucks but when you keep lifting lighter and lighter weights to keep from being injured that is pretty much down time to. I had 2 rortator muscles reattached a ruptured biceps tendon taken care or and they cut out some arthirits while they were in there. I was back in the gym 5 days later training my good shoulder and my legs for the next 10 weeks. 8 months after the surgery I had my bench up to 96% of my all time best. If rehab does the job then great. If not get a good surgeon. I got a orthopedic sports medicine specialist that teaches at the university. those guys are always up on the latest stuff.

I have had shoulder problems too in my past. I had surgery about 2 years ago b/c I dislocated my shoulder and it was loose. And when I would through a football, play raquet ball, etc...I would be sore for days and couldn't even work out. It sucked big time. So after over a year of that I went ahead with the surgery and they were gunna only do a scope, but ended up cutting me open b/c of the damage that they couldn't see on the mri. So that set me back about a year before I was really back in the gym again. It still ached after that and I did some Adequan and that made a world of difference. I would definitely recommend all you guys that have tendon/ligament problems, do a bottle or two of adequan, it is truly amazing.

I've had 3 shoulder surgeries with bicep tears. I would get it scoped because you'll be down alot longer if that bicep blows.............11
