Proper Injection procedures

This gets asked a lot in the AAS sec.

This is what I do.
1st take a hot shower, make sure you use a wash cloth on the area your injecting (you'll be surprised and the surface dirt left behind using soap only).

Next clean the tops of your vials and the area that your injecting with an alcohol pad. EVERY TIME.

Next take a new needle out of it's wrapper and draw your oils (I use a 20g needle for drawing). after you've drawn the amount of AAS you want. CHANGE THE NEEDLE. I use a 25g 1" or 1.5" for injecting on everything. some use 22or23g thats your choice but IMO smaller is better for less scare tissue.
Needles are cheap so never reuse them.

after you have cleaned area to be injected insert needle slowly. Don't ram the thing in, By inserting slowly if I get close to a nerve I'll know BEFORE I hit it. If you feel your getting close to a nerve don't pull needle out, simply back off a little and change direction slightly. Once needle is in all the way ASPERATE. (this means pull back on plunger a little and look for blood inside syringe) if everything looks good then continue with your injection. Inject slowly. After your done pull needle out and hold a cotton ball or clean TP over injection site for a minute or so and gently massage area.
If you get a little bleeding from injection site don't freak out, some times this is normal with certain body parts. Hold pressure till bleeding stops and your done.
Don't get into bad habits with injecting, take the time to do it right every time, in 16yrs Ive never had an infection or an abscess.

DRAWING OIL: First, Remove the cap from your needle; draw back about 1 cc of air.
Insert the needle into the rubber stopper on the vial; slowly push the air inside the vial.
This will increase the pressure inside of the vial making the process of drawing the oil
Easier. Now draw the desired amount. Remove the needle and cap it. Unscrew the old needle and put a new needle on the syringe. Drawing will always dull a Needle. Dull needles hurt, and needles are too cheap to be stingy with them. Change the needle!
Next, turn the syringe up (needle tip up) and slowly press the plunger Until you have a couple of drops of oil come out of the tip, you can tap the syringe to get Any small air bubbles out but it isn’t necessary. For opening amps, obviously an amp opener is easiest. However if you don’t have one or simply don’t want to bother with getting one it’s not that big of a deal. Using a metal file, score the neck of the amp all the way around the amp. Wrap the amp in a Klenex and snap off the top. Inspect the oil for any glass fragments, very rarely do any glass fragments ever get inside the amp. Set the amp down on a flat level surface. Uncap your syringe and put the needle all the way to the bottom of the amp inside one of the corners. Slowly and steadily, draw the oil from the amp by pulling back on the plunger, If your careful, you won’t have to change the needle. If you bump the needle into the glass bottom of the amp, you should probably change it. Believe it or not, this will seriously dull a needle. And Dull needles Hurt.


INJECTION TECHNIQUE: You may want to experiment with your injections on an orange before you move onto your body. Locate the outer middle/upper section of your glute. Put a needle into your sciatic nerve. Using your free hand take three fingers and stretch the skin over your injection site. This will keep the needle from bouncing off your skin and will also reduce bleeding and oil leakage after you remove the needle. The hole made

When you start your injection insert the needle in straight, do not go at a funny angle or move your hand around while inserting. When you insert the needle you may want to go slow (Trust me, it really isn’t that painful). Push the needle all the way in, using two fingers pull the plunger back about a quarter of an inch; check for air bubbles (You should see a couple of small air bubbles come in the chamber of the syringe when pulling back on the plunger) [This is called “ASPIRATING” Never inject any where in your body without first ASPIRATING] If you pull back on the plunger and blood comes into the syringe, Immediately REMOVE the needle from your glute; Your about to inject into a vein and that would be very bad. In fact it’s dangerous. Usually the vein will just collapse but the oil could get to your heart, this would be very painful and potentially deadly.

Now back to Injecting.

You’ve put the needle in, you’ve aspirated, and you’ve got a couple of air bubbles. Now slowly and steadily inject the oil until the syringe is empty. Remove the needle; with an alcohol treated cotton ball apply slight pressure to the injected site and massage gently for about 30 seconds to help disperse the oil. That’s it. Be sure to properly dispose of your needles. It’s not fair to Otto the garbage man if he has to get stuck with one of your used needles because you were too lazy to dispose of it properly.

good advice, then again I must say I think all of us are way careful on injections...I realize better safe than sorry but I wonder if the rest of the population who have to inject (for other reasons) go to such lengths. Lord knows when I go the docs & get poked, they never aspirate... Like I said better safe then sorry-

I like to keep it simple....

Swab the top of vial with alcohol...always use a new syringe/pin...draw up the desired amount I intend to inject....swab the injection site with alcohol...jab the intended site......aspirate ever so slightly so I know I'm not in a vein...slowly inject...withdraw the pin and swab the site.

Hundreds and hundreds of injections later and I have yet to ever have an infection or abcess.

Simple as that.

good info. If you are using amps - use a FILTER needle to draw it up. There could be glass fragments that are too small to see inside the oil. The filter needle will catch these impurities.

Great point about the filter when using amps... this does happen with the glass frags and its not a pretty site.

I was wondering if it was ok to use a 1" needle with Test E. Most places recommend the 1 1/2" one but my friend used a 1" needle without any problems.

The only place you really need to use a 1.5 is the glutes. unless someone is really fat they shouldn't have to use a 1.5 on quads and delts.
I use 1" on everything but glutes..............11

Heating the oil in boiling water before injecting MAKES A HUGE FUCKING DIFFERENCE in ease of inject and next day pain!!!!!!

I can inject 3mls of a painful oil, such as Prop, with absolutely no pain if I heat the oil before injecting. Without heating 1-2mls will cause pain!! Also a 25gauge 1.5'' is a must for glute shots....1'' for those with small ass.

Thats pretty much the reason, of coarse if your doing ED or EOD shots you need more options as you really don't want to hit one spot more than once a week.................11

There are several reasons. The most popular (in my case) is the gear (too much BA). This dude's test used to cripple me. For the last year I've added .5 cc of EQ. No more pain.

You could have nicked a vessel or nerve. This will cause some discomfort.

I'm willing to bet, however, it's the gear that fucked you up.

I know that it can take a bit before the muscle gets used to it and then the pain goes away. My quads were always my favorite and no pain after about a dozen injections. Delts are always kind of uncomfortable for me, a lot of guys love the delts.

also try injecting BEFORE you workout, that will also help. mixing always help with test pain.................11
