Well GS, you are reading but not listening. This lift was shown to me by a guy in a gym a few years ago (a former "Mr. Southern") He had pec development most of us would kill for (I'm getting close). I, for one do not judge effectiveness of exercises based on charts and for the record this is NOT dangerous. You are correct in that you cant isolate the inner pec, I never said that, you can however, hit areas harder than others But I will not get in a ....ing contest over this, lets just agree to dissagree.
To Toyada, do not try this you may get hurt.

brickhouse, try doing some heavy dumbbell pullovers.inhale on the down and exhale on the way up. i do these on occasion supersetted w/ flies.dont go down to far cause you will get more of a lat w/o. this movement brought out the definative line in my upper chest. i read when i was younger that arnold did these so i tried it and it worked for me. i like this movement. give it a try

Incline DB flyes are a staple of my chest routine and youre right about the DB pullovers, they are great to incorporate into a routine. For me, I try to do everything I can with Dbs cause my right always tries to cheat my left with BBs.

I'm surprised how little (or at all) cable crossovers, flyes, and pec deck have been mentioned. True, there is no "inner pec," but performing a flye-type movement definitely stretches the pec at the origin (sternum). All the presses in the world aren't going to build a "complete-looking" chest. There has got to be some variation, and I'm not talking switching from incline to decline or barbell to dumbbell. Get some flye movements in your workout. If anyone wants to bitch, I'll post pics of my chest to settle any disputes. I've had some type of cable/flye motion in EVERY chest workout since I was a kid, and I can press damned near as much as a lot of powerlifters on this board. No reason to knock those exercises in my book. :)

Thank you. You beat me to it. Flyes and cable crossovers are very important in the chest developing. All the presses in the world will not give you a chest like arnold unless you utilize flyes aswell.
 
First, I personaly can attest that the inner chest can be "focused" on. Narrow grip presses kill my inner chest and make it hurt for days. My new inner exercise its cable flys on a bench, focussing on the top part of the movement. Do the same people who deny the ability of working different parts of the muscles for pecs deny this is possible in bi's as well?
