Any insight on Neverwinter Nights or Baldur's Gate? I've played NWN before and playing it right now, but there are some glitchy areas and im fucking stuck bc i did something I wasn't supposed to and there is no way to un fuck it. Might just try Baldur's Gate, which i have read has better reviews
Glad you got your ps5 and like it. You know, nothing is going to hurt getting both a ps5 and a gaming pc.

console is great for "more simple gamers" and playing with your friends irl. PC is the fucking shit for solo immersion and quality gaming and better graphics, but much more expensive. Used to to have all the brand consoles and have been building gaming pc's since 2000. Ended up just giving all the consoles away cause I never touched them for years.

PC gaming is really where it's at. I'm not much help on the games you've listed cause I spent most my time playing Blizzard titles and simulation titles like MechWarrior, Digital Combat Simulator, Star Citizen, Squad, and Iracing. I have a full racing rig and a flight rig for these sims. It's not cheap. I look at it as an investment for killing time instead of watching TV etc.

Eldin Ring is the shit. One of the best games ever made said by Elon Musk himself. He also is an avid Diablo player. Both of those you can jam on PS5. I have to warn you u tho, DO NOT PLAY ELDIN RING ON TREN. The probabilities of you breaking expensive things is so high lol. Your neighbors might call the cops thinking someone is being tortured in your residence. That game can really make you emotional hahahahaah.

It depends on what you're playing.. but you can use an xbox controller on pc, not being stuck to a keyboard and mouse. I use a game pad instead of a keyboard and bind all keys needed to the pad and mouse.

Anyway.. just some things to think about.

Ive been exposed to PC gaming, so i know the perks. My buddy is crazy into it and top of all the new shit and tricks. He goes all out with hooking up to an HD projector and all that.

My current setup would make a PC tower too wonky, and tbh, i just wanna press a button and do everything from my controller. Waiting for a PC to load, moving a mouse around, double clicking on files, constantly having to readjust graphics for glitches and memory and all that- not my thing.

Elden Rings looks sick. Im prob gonna be stuck on NWN for a while and then Baldur's Gate. Civilization VI looks kinda dope, too.

im too old for any fast paced, high intensity gaming lol. Pathetic, huh?

Elden Ring is worth every penny. It's a unique gaming experience that was very well crafted. It may be too intense itself. But it's def worth a play through.

meh nobody is too old for gaming. It's more a battle of justifying the time spent playing.

I can see the tower being wonky and the desire to do everything from startup to starting and playing a game through a single controller. With a SSD drive my startups from button push to windows loaded is faster than my monitor turns on, literally 6 seconds or less…when i made the swap from old school hard drives to a ssd I was blown away. Double clicking is no biggie but understand where you’re coming from again. As for readjusting graphics or memory, with a good graphics card that’s basically unnecessary these days outside the occasional update. I run almost every single game maxed out graphically with a 3060 and they get a lot higher end than that. I guess what I’m saying is when you get use to it it’s as easy as a PS and doubles for browsing and movies. I think you made the right choice with a PS given the circumstances you laid out.

I play everything from fast paced shooters to retro games to puzzle platformers and the like. It’s really just what are you into. There are some really cool survival games on pc with multiplayer base building and all that I’ve sunk thousands of hours into Rust is one, not sure if they’ve ported that yet. I guess what I’m saying here is there’s exclusives for both PC and PS that make me wish I had a PS at times and thankful I have a PC others.
