Default Lady power lifters belt preference ?

My girlfriend is finally shopping for a belt and I have no idea what is good for women ? Are there any belts that you would suggest ? Also she wants something that comes in a color.
Thanks for any help

my girl and I are both competitive powerlifters. We only buy inzer belts and she loves them. She uses a 10mm lever belt. I would recommend 10mm for a female, should be more then thick enough, and the lever belts just make life so easy. Hers was around 100 bucks I think from inzer's website.

In my opinion, when it comes to powerlifting belts, inzer is simply the best. it can take a month for a standard black belt to come in, and up to 6 months for colors though.

don't get her a generic brand.

Hmm never used a belt. Does it assist in the lift? I feel like it would somewhat remove your core from the lift

Yes, it assists in lifts quite a bit actually. That is if you're using your belt and breathing correctly. for instance during the squat. I suck as much air into my belly as I can and push my abs out against the belt as hard as possible. this keeps the back straight and the core more stable. it's not all pushing out though, you're kind of tightening your abs while pushing them into the belt. makes a big friggin difference if you have a good belt, are wearing it properly, and are breathing and using your core properly. takes some getting used too.

For what it's worth, I just got my Gasp Training Belt and it's of amazing quality. Extremely stiff and no padding but nevertheless a solid purchase.
