Whey protein?

Is it just me or has anyone else gotten rid of all the protein shakes and bars?

A couple reasons I switched...
1. Whey protein prices got expensive
2. Protein shakes just do keep me full as the same macro counter parts of real food
3. More micronutrients in food

Granted I'll have bars when I'm traveling but other than that... it's pretty much chicken, turkey, eggs, and egg whites.

I ditched all protein shakes a few years ago and went strictly to whole eggs for my pwo. I did this for close to year, 5-6 whole boiled eggs 5x a week after my workouts. Eventually i simply couldn’t stomach them anymore and switched back to Whey Isolate shakes. This is my own personal opinion but the whey isolate shakes are not only more convenient and tastier, i feel i grow better using them. I was getting around 30-36 grams of protein from 6 hard boiled & 75 grabs from my easy to drink shakes. Just stick to whey isolates and reputable brands. I usually use NOW, switched over to Dymatize and really like both.

I usually do 16oz eggwhites and 1.5 cups of white rice post workout.

Just crazy to me the price increase of protein powders lately. I used to always order soy isolate for 7$ a pound and pea protein for 9$. Now both are 14+ a pound.
