Thoughts on Dairy products

Some guys don’t consume dairy, claiming it bloats them and is high in fat, which is true in some cases. Personally, I consume a lot of Fairlife skim milk and low fat cottage cheese. Thoughts on dairy?

I used to consume a ton of it. Took a few months off from drinking milk and developed lactose intolerance. Switched to almond milk for my 2-3 bowls of cereal a day and haven’t looked back.

I still consume cheese and the occasional ice cream binge but I’ve found dairy don’t work for me trying to keep a lean n mean physique at 40. But your mileage may vary.

Same thing happened to me so I didn’t drink milk for years. I found Fairlife skim milk in the grocery store about 3 months ago and grabbed one since it’s lactose free and has 13 G protein per serving (only 6 carbs and 6 sugars). I avoid lactose but this milk doesn’t affect me at all. It might be with a try.

If there is no lactose and if it does not bother your stomach then great it’s a go

the only dairy I do is Greek yogurt that’s just me

many physiques have added pounds of muscle with dairy protein

find what does not bother your digestive system and the use it how you like

it’s not rocket science

Interesting as I have a friend that loves that stuff too. It’s not cheap. But does look delicious. I do miss milk if I’m honest. Not always but occasionally. But I’m open to giving it a shot to see if it wrecks me like regular milk now. May grab a bottle while I’m out today.

I forgot to mention back when I was eating like a bodybuilder I did find Greek yogurt to be a staple in my diet. Lots of options with it too.

fermented dairy products -

yogurt and cheese are some examples - key is to avoid SUGAR mixed with dairy

cheese manufacture involves metabolism of milk sugar (lactose) to lactate by selected cultures of lactic acid bacteria

I dump a Greek yogurt in shakes from time to time - good macros and good for the gut.

I used to drink a ton of milk and consume a lot of dairy. I took it out one day when trying to lean out and never looked back. I still eat some cheese and ice cream every now and then, but I quit drinking milk mostly. I don't know if it's had any significant impact on my physique, but it does seem easier for me to stay lean now. Albeit, I used to drink a ton of milk, so I'm sure eliminating those calories is quite helpful.

Eggs and milk are staples as great choices for protein, and cheese is super underrated and misunderstood as its also high in protein and calcium.

Absolutely nothing wrong with tons of eggs and cheese on keto, and a few slices of cheese on any kind of bulk will be great for building muscle. You're not gonna bloat on keto because you're carb depleted.

idk why dudes are so worried about every little thing that makes them hold water, unless you are having a show or a shoot or need to look good, who cares? Just cut it out a couple days before you need to look dry if it's that big of a deal, how realistic is it to walk around in damn near contest shape all the time anyways?
