the struggle.....

What's up all?!
Haven't been around lately. Had to give up lifting for a while, had no feeling in my legs, left one all the way down to my feet, was a real struggle just to get up or take a dump.
Started going to a chiro beginning of year, and things got worse.
Went to a ortho, started therapy, that got worse after 2 weeks, therapist said go back to doc.He stated everything the chiro was doing (traction/exercises/therapy) was making my issue way worse.

Had mri done, doc said I would need surgery(excessive spondylosis l3-l4 and 2 phuked up disks), therapy wouldn't help.He wanted to do anterior (through the stomach)fusion.
Had a second and third opinion, went with the second surgeon, said posterior is his specialty.
Had fusion surgery in July L3-L4-L5. Took about 3 hours, and went home same day.

Nerve pain GONE !!!!!!!!
My days of lifting heavy are done. too dang old.
Just getting back to lifting now, therapy was rough, but slowly getting better.
Just wanted to give a shout out and tell you guys, that fusion surgery works; at least for me. Being able to walk far and go out hunting makes it all worth it, and having an excuse to have the lady in different positions too !!!!!! ☺️

Put the heavy weights done. Go for more functional movements. Slower reps and a good mind muscle connection will keep the size and probably add some.

. Just get massage threpy or acupuncture. I don't know what happend to you but I'm deeply sorry it happened. Listen they got ronnie coleman to work out again and his back is severely messed up. Don't give up on what they can do for the future. Don't do chiros for now or anything like that. They can actually make you way worse in the shape your in.

I'm having to go lighter too due to hemorrhoid issues, had surgery for them in ,2005. Guess what? If you're genetically predisposed that can come back.
