Muscle tear or strain?

I had to lift a really heavy motorcycle that had fallen over and when I did I felt something strange not sure how to explain it kind of like a tear in my tricep. I was on the first day of a four day vacation so didn't go to the doctor and it was sore but bearable. Didn't notice it first but after 2 days I can see a bruise on the inside of lower part of my bicep going down my elbow and down part of my forearm. It was planning on waiting until I got back into town on Monday tomorrow to go to the doctor and then get X-ray MRI or whatever they do.

I'm not really sure what I injured but feels like the tricep, didn't think I could injure my tricep lifting something up from the ground so maybe something else? Just worried that I'm making it worse by waiting a few days before going to the doctor cuz I don't want to stop training. Just curious if anyone's ever had anything similar like that happen with the bruise in that location on the inside of the arm?

Stop training and wait for mri. Please don't hurt yourself further. If you do need surgery there's great ones out there just becareful choosing which one preferably someone who worked with the NFL or baseball players. I hope the best for you
Yes listen to resilient he is a good guy and safety is best

I suppose I was not clear, of course I wouldn't lift until seeing the doc, I was just wondering if anyone had and similar experiences? Maybe its not that bad? I was just curious for any info before I went to the doc was just hoping its not too serious as I don't want to have to take time off for recovery :) I know its hard to say from my brief description, I thought it was a tricep but now maybe a tendon? I didn't want to cut my vacation short so was just curious what others thought but going to the ER to have it checked out. Hurt like a bitch the first day but after a few days its not so bad but the elbow is tight & swollen with some bruising so something is wrong.

thx!

I have the same problem.
First time I notice was last July. Didnt do shit for it.
Just use less and less weights until December.
Had an MRI and turns out I had a tear but longwise so the muscle/tendon was split and not torn off.
Hurts and sucks. Had a PRP shot but its still hurting. Was supposed to see the doc yesterday but it got cancelled.
I wish I listened to my body and didnt act like a child.

Xray will not tell anything, you will probably need an MRI.

Yeah morgan is deffiently got some pain from that but he's tough. George make sure you get this taken care of fast no doctor is going to want to touch after awhile if you wait to long and it gets worse they may not want to do anything or make it worse or be scared of malpractice if they do end up hurting you. Wishing the best

Went to the ER & the doc had me flex & felt muscles in both arms & didn't think anything was torn completely but a partial tear. He seemed to think it would heal but going to the orthopedic doc in the morning for x-rays or MRI or whatever they do? They can't see a muscle tear with an x-ray right? The ER doc says its most likely a partial tear in the bicep but I have no pain at all on the front of the bicep and it feels like I could prob curl just fine but its the lower back of the arm/tri & around the elbow where the pain is. Not too confident in most docs I have seen. Sucks too, new gym just opened near me.

Seriously, see an ortho. Get an MRI, unless ultrasound would be enough.
I waited so damn long, really regretting that.
I noticed the issue when at a pool party. Holding an insulated cup hurt after a while.
But I ignored it, was busy looking at all the topless chicks.

It got worse and worse. Couldnt curl a 25lbs dumbbell without pain.
Stupid shit on my part, dont be stupid like me.

TB500 and BPC 157 your life away until it heals. Fuck baby dosing that shit, too, just shoot half a vial each ed for a week or two.

Never torn a muscle before, but i would imagine it's excruciating pain and no chance you would be able to put it under any kind of tension.

Went to an ortho yesterday and she would only do an x-ray no MRI. Said she could see a little speck of bone on the X-ray and assumes that was a piece of my elbow that came loose with the tendon and right away said I should get surgery as soon as possible. So er doc says it's a partial torn bicep and ortho says it's a tendon but I told her I really wanted an MRI before I agreed to surgery. I guess she says that may take a few days to get insurance to approve it. Also said no motorcycle for a couple months and 6 weeks in a brace. She was so quick and pushy to try to get me to agree to surgery right away I don't trust her now. And she was young and pimply faced šŸ˜„. I have a friend who tore his bicep completely and he had the exact same bruising that I have inside of the bicep and down the forearm.

It has been feeling a lot better so I'm going to give it a few days and try to get an MRI before surgery.

Most er doctors are idiots your going chances are your going to get more misdiagnosed at a er then a real ortho. Quick story. As a kid went to a friend's jumped on the trampoline and fell I couldn't walk went to the er they said your fine. Then went to a top ortho said it was clear fracture. Please if you care about your health go go a top specialist

Yeah my doctor just found me an ortho that could get me in the next day so that's why I went to. Then after looking up her info she was a physician's assistant whatever that means? Never did see a real ortho doctor but she said she showed him the x-rays.

I'm trying to get an MRI and a second opinion but that has to be approved by the insurance company so if that takes too long I'm just going with it and doing my own rehab.

I go in for regular blood work and checkups but nothing serious. But I have tried several doctors in my area and they are mostly all boneheads and screw a lot of stuff up and there is always new employees on their first day it seems?

I have received so much bad advice and wrong information over the years makes me think some of these docs are just trying to make me sicker so they can put me on some pills. They never give me any advice about diet & nutrition except for one of them told me to not do intermittent fasting or the carnivore diet because that was unhealthy.
