Forgive me if I posted this up before.
So, the nephrologist categorizes me as CKD 3b based on my blood test numbers, I just have to call bullshit. Within 12 months, I went from gfr >60 to gfr 28. I stopped all supplements (including protein drinks and NSAIDS) and my gfr rose to 45 within roughly four (4) months. Right now, I'm monitoring my BP every am and pm and it runs all over the place, from 150/98 to 113/70. My urine is 100% clear from any protein "flowing over" and any other oddities. I feel 100% fine with no bloating, fatigue, loss of strength or appetite, etc...no nothing.
My bloodwork is BUN =25, Creatinine = 1.69, BUN/Creatinine ratio = 14.8, gfr =45.
The gfr changed so drastically, that one would think that I drank antifreeze or some other poison.
I see the nephrologist again in two (2) weeks.
I'm fairly well muscled for my age, 64, but this has been a mind fcuk since August 2023, so I haven't picked up a weight since then because I understand that "working out" raises the Creatinine level naturally... I'm trying to get to the creatinine level (range) that has been established for the usual couch potato, been drinking 50-60 ounces of water daily. I'm 64 and had planned to compete in the old fcuk class this fall...so frustrating.
If you made it this far, can I get some bro science please?
Thanks, TenMan
