Humalog

I'm in the US and I believe from what I've read is that we need an RX for fast acting insulin like this one.

Rx only in the United States. Humulin R is (in most States) OTC. Find a friend across the border.

Fuck thats actually news to me. I was getting my Humalog from Canada forever until that door closed. Then i was at Walmart for the Novolin N without an RX. Been doing this for YEARS. I had no clue they had a Novolog option- those cunts behind the counter dont tell you shit and are as dumb as dirt.

Has anyone tried the ReliOn Novolog pens? Is it similar to Humalog?

and yeah big thanks to Zeus!

I will say this I have bought the 5 pack on 3 different occasions. Only been denied twice and that was because the pharmacist said they can’t sell insulin unless you are a active user of their pharmacy so some places may have different policy’s I have also heard there is a N option insulin lantus type but I don’t use that so never tried to buy

BRO! Bingo- i cant believe it was available this entire time and i have been stuck on the N. I like the shorter clearance time of log so that i dont worry about my high fat meals after the workout. The N still has a role on certain days though. Picked up the 5 pack today. Ok, so it looks like it works just like Humalog, no? Anything interesting or different about it that you can share? Thanks again bro.

I would use just like humalog. I have heard people say that the ReLiOn brand is slightly underdosed so they will dose it 3-5 ius higher depending on their total use.

Without an RX? Novolog / NovoRapid are RX required in the States. If they're dispensing it, I'd be floored... But I won't complain :D

I’ve gotten it 3x now also got the novolin on separate occasions too. The ReLion novorapid pens seem to be part of the group that doesn’t get asked for a script. Give it a try. Worst thing they will say is no.

Just an FYI - I went into a Walmart today for the Novolog, but when she rang it up the tech looked very confused at the computer... Went to the pharamcist for direction, and they both came back saying the system wasn't allowing her to sell it without a prescription. Pharmacist was profusely apologizing and offered Novolin R instead.

Denied here, but maybe other states are different.

If you are buying it without a prescription in the USA, then the pharmacy tech is confused and making a mistake. Humalog regardless of the form requires a prescription under all circumstances. You can only buy Humulin-R and Humulin-N or their equivalent in another brand without a prescription.

Worked in a pharmacy for about 13 years and unless its changed in last 3 or 4 this is all we could dispense.
