Hi all, I'm new here., 50 years old due to severe hemorrhoid issues and surgery can no longer do squats. Can anybody recommend an exercise that is nearly as anabolic trying to regain what I've lost over the past 5 or 10 years

The problem seems like pressure. Low intensity, high volume presses don't do much. Maybe sled dragging backwards & up hills will hit them. I have a horrible knee but do leg presses, some safety-bar squats, and can hammer calves & hams. I'd be very partial to what the doctor says. Sorry bro.

In the words of Dorian:

“I have not done squats in years and I think I’ve done pretty well so far”

said during his Olympia reign lol

I am a compettiive bodybuilder and I stopped doing squats years ago

I still go hacks on the arsenal - but no bar work

its all about ankle flexibility and mobility - if you can leg press and keep you foot FLAT all the way to the bottom - you will feel that shit in your quads

my legs are bigger and I used to squat 495 damn near every other week - I grow off tension - Im 40 and I could care less how strong I am or what numbers I can rat off to some tool who doesnt care but wants someone to bullshit with
