Bringing up Lagging Calf

It would seem that I should know the answer to this, but I don't.
My right calf measures 17 1/4", while my left calf is a hair over 16". Years back, I seem to remember reading "one-sided" exercises are useless, but rather work both sides (both calves) at the same time, but concentrate on working the lagging side (calf) harder to bring it up.
Any insight on this?

Thanks, TenMan

I would measure the distance from your knee where you're measuring your calf. Unless your calves are noticeably disproportionate to the eye, you might have measured slightly higher or lower on one side than the other, resulting in that one inch difference.

Aside from that, I think I recall reading that you're in the second half of life and haven't actually lifted in a minute. Is that no longer the case?

Calf implants... haha just kidding brother, in all seriousness you could try some site injection of compounds that are known to stimulate localized growth.

My right leg is longer than my left. It affects all my leg movements, I just had to adjust. I just bought a seated calf machine and I’m noticing my leg leg takes more of the weight. Just had to put the right foot a bit farther out than the left.

I’m wondering if it’s just a structural issue.
