Default How often??

Iím trying to figure out the right amount of training. I have a buddy who is huge but he works out every day.
I have another bud who only trains 3x weekly.
At my age 45, I donít want to over do it, but I also want to get the maximum gains especially since Iím blasting for fall bulking.

How often do you guys train? Do you switch it up occasionally?

Thanks for all The imput........ Redrock

Until end of high school four days a week. Since then three days a week push legs pull. If i do anything on other days its cardio or hit the bag. Or normal life stuff walking the beach, swimming, hiking.

Ive been doing this:
Chest shoulder tri 3x a week
Back bi forearms 3x a week
Legs 1x a week, all machines no squats
Throw in abs 2x a week
Cardio 40-50 minutes 4x a week

Test up to 500/wk, deca 250/wk. Inject once a week. been 3 weeks at these dose up from just trt Dose. I dont feel the effects from the increase dose yet, but its coming. I can see it though. I dont lift heavy.
Other than my shoulder killing me, i feel good and everyone thinking im on tren and var.

Thats pretty much how I do it. I make sure to never hit the same muscle group closer than 2 days apart. I like to give them a rest/time to recover and grow.

I think we all agree that legs is a once a week "death march"
I shoot for Saturdays so I can recover on the couch. I wish I was kidding, but Im fucking spent after legs. Its a love/hate workout day for sure

I would love to do 5-6 days a week... But i train to failure on damn near all lifts and my CNS gets too taxed. Sometimes it's hard to even get out of bed and to work for a day or two.

I'm happy if i can do 4 days a week.

LOL You fukker....
Admiring isn't my thing, And with time restrictions, it's the only way I can squeeze my workouts in. Never do more than 16 sets total, and bust my nuts doing them.

With out going into specifics, you guys hitting all muscles twice a week or working out five days a week. Are you retired, desk job, manual labor job? When i worked a desk my work outs were longer and i went harder. Now that its manual labor three days a week is it for me.
