when dieting during a cutting cycle....common knowledge is to eat 5-7 small meals a day....when you don't, you're body puts itself in starvation mode and stores fat and burn muscle....what happens when you miss some meals or don't get in enough calories during a cycle of winstrol since it supposedly will hold on to all the muscle(while still training 5 days a week w cardio).....does your body still want to go into starvation mode or does it just use fat for energy.....because if this is true it seems like it would make sense to eat as little as possible

I don't believe in the "starvation mode" bull. I have dieted down many times, and I still think that it's a calories in/calories out equation. You still need to burn more calories than you take in. Obviously, it never works out in the real world like it does on paper, but I think you understand. Anymore, when cutting, I believe in putting off cardio as long as possible. I reduce my calories by half. It usually works out to me eating two meals, and a couple of protein shakes every day. After about 3-4 weeks, I switch to a more tradition meal/cardio plan to push weight loss further. I find that I retain much more muscle without cardio. I also diet without the aid of hormonal supplementation, which makes it much more difficult to retain muscle. Don't buy into all the metabolism slowdown/starvation mode b.s. You simply have to listen to your body. The mirror will tell you if you're on the right track.
