Cologne shopping

One day I hope to get a custom made fragrance. I think in Dubi or over in that region there is some famous man that can make you anything and it's 100x better then store bought. They probably have something similar in France too.

Most fragrance is cheap to make but what make fragrance expensive is the advertising campaign. That's what you're paying for. Also, fragrance has a shelf life. If you buy a huge stock hoping to save and not use it for years it could lose its punch.

Tom ford is an amazing house
Unfortunately Tom Ford doesn’t own it anymore and the product has suffered. It use to be excellent, not so much now. Estée Lauder versions are significantly weaker than the original Tom Ford formulations!! The sillage and projection are way off what they use to be, the price is the same and in some cases have even moved up for worse performance.

I like very masculine hard hitting cologne. My favorite by far is Fahrenheit for men. It came out in 1988. It's a little on the expensive side but you don't need much of it.

I remember once a few years ago I was walking downtown with Fahrenheit on and walked past a group of hot women that were all solid 7s and upscale and my scent made them stop and say "hay Sir! OMG, you smell soo good!"
People love to hate on fahrenheit apparently. The ones who can handle the polarizing scents think those other people are weenies. I love fahrenheit

The worst things for cologne is too much light and fluctuations in humidity. So dark dry places are best for them

This makes sense. The bottle I bought 5 or so years ago was $250. I could put 1 squirt on, go for a ride with someone and their car would smell like it for a few days. The bottle I just bought for $300 doesn’t last near as long. It still has the smell but it just don’t last like it used to….

I stopped buying cologne a while back. I'm on those stupid Bath and Bodyworks lotions and body wash. I use different ones everyday. Do you cologne guys use it every day or on those night outs?

The Cartier shop in Scottsdale has an inhouse fragrance designer. He has several options and shows how to layer them. It's amazing, and free. Very smart guy, used to have his on place in Dubai. Devin is my personal rep, he won't lead you wrong. Amazing guy

Cheap stuff for work. I do manual labor. Good stuff on days off or nights out or any time I might Be around some tail.

Polo green bottle. I've used for years. Wife loves it and I've had many women over the years come up to me and ask what I'm wearing even when my wife is standing right next to me. ...................11

My go to are aqua di gio and azzure wanted. The wanted one gets me hella compliments.

The thing with cologne is not all of them work for everyone. They have to go with your scent and if they don't match right it won't smell or last the same. Thats what one of my OG bros told me.

What is the proper way of spraying?

I spray my neck and my wrists and take my wrist and rub behind the ear.

I’ve been considering joining one of those scent clubs that ships a different scent out every month. I want to try more kinds and wear more but I sure as hell ain’t going to a department store or something to try them out. Just not my thing. And I don’t want to wear the same ones every other swinging wiener is wearing so I’m thinking one of those monthly subscriptions is best for me. Does anyone use one they recommend?
