Default 1st competition masters classic physique

Thought I'd put this here. Been lifting regularly for 12 years not new to the game. Thinking of doing my 1st competition as a masters classic physique and novice. My question is since the weight limit for my height is 220 or 230 I think I may not be heavy enough when i diet down to be competitive. After all we dont compete to loose.

Im currently 226 6'1 and probably 14/15% bf based on the mirror and caliper tests ive done. Lightest was when i started 165, heaviest was 240. Show is in Oct. NPC open. Just looking for feedback from people that have competer and thoughts on my weight vs height/bf.

My guess is that you’ll be on stage 185 - 190

That’s pretty slender for your height but people compete for all kinds of reasons

And we all have our best ‘shots’ that make us look good

Have fun and do it for yourself

You don’t have to be a freak mass monster to step onstage
