Default Mass gainer?

Anyone have success with mass gainer?
I dont want to take the fast food route and become a very fat ass. Way too much sodium, too much trans fat etc etc.

I prefer to keep my diet mostly clean... but it take a shitload of clean food to gain weight

An easy way would be a mass gainer, its an easy 1000cals
Im around +-215-220 pounds

What do you think?

I asked the same question awhile back w no answer so Iíll give you my experience.
I got the Mass Gainer from the same maker of iso 100 Whey protein. Itís awesome. I have been able to put a few quality lbs on when needed and it tastes awesome.
I have no experience w others and donít plan on using anything else but this one.

Make your own weight gainer. Buy some maltodextrin, protein powder and dextrose.

I usually use the following:

20g maltodextrin
20g dextrose
40-50g protein

Do you start your day out with 6 whole eggs, sausage bacon and a few TBSP of peanut butter?

If not then fix your diet first

Wtf kind of advise is this?! That’s garbage ingredients just like those weight gainers. I’ve been at this for 20 years and I’ll admit that I did take them like 20 years ago but with all the food science we have today, who in their right mind would take that crap over quality food.

2 pints whole milk
1.5 cup oats
2 scoops whey protein
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 cup Greek yogurt
1 banana

Blend and enjoy. That’s a quality weight gainer!

i agree with on this especially for gaining weight, you want to gain as much muscle as possible with as little fat as possible.

Interesting is the fact Dorian Yates recommends dextrose added to post workout protein to spike insulin which is understandable.

Man, Iíve been taking Redcon1 MRE 2x a day and itís added a lot...very clean and made from real food. Best one Iíve found so far

When I'm going hard I'll eat a costco pizza 3-4 days a week...for $10 it adds an extra 4000 calories (400+ carbs and 200+ protein) or so per pizza to your regular diet. My wife and kids always try to steal some slices though, so maybe it's 3000 calories.

Which two cause dextrose is actually recommended by Stan Efferding for use in the vertical diet.
