Thanks bro, I really debated between surgery and chemo but I think surgery is my best option. Glad your brother is doing well

Definitely hard to tell why or where it comes from. The cancer treatment center wants to do genetic research which is fine with me but they want me to pay for it and my insurance won't cover it. So that's not happening

My prayers are with you and your family man! Thst can be scary do u mind me asking how much test you typically did like per week over those 30 years? I have been doing it close to 20 years but I only do like 200mg a week and not gonna lie a little frightened right now. I always had jt in the back of my head I would regret the usage some day. Hope not but weíll see. Anyway I hope everything works out for you and Iím glad god was watching out and they found it early

its it one or the other?
I know that they often to surgery then give you a few rounds of chemo to kill off anything left behind.

Best wishes man. It's definitely a scary and life changing prognosis. We've probably all lost people to cancer and the important thing here is that you've actually got extremely lucky to find it early. I know its weird to say that anything about this is lucky, but certainly cancer is something that you absolutely want to know about as early as possible. And I owe you a debt of gratitude. I don't sign into OLM much but I just so happened to show up today, and your post was a reminder for me to get a physical. I haven't gotten one since 2017, and am long overdue. I just got off the phone with my drs office to schedule the appointment. Best of luck, and thank you.

Thanks man I don't mind any questions about it and I'm up front about my gear usage. It really rains from anywhere trt dose I did a hundred 25 mg a week and I've done well over a gram of week of test for considerably long Cycles.

but honestly I have to say I have no regrets on any Cycles I've done. They say prostate cancer isn't caused by testosterone but can be fueled by it. did it or didn't it I'll never know but I have no regrets.

Generally it's not one of the other but you are correct they usually do chemo or radiation after the surgery to make sure they got it all. My doctor wasn't real clear on how we were going to do the after treatment. If he did, it went over my head a lot of information to process at once

The biggest decision was which one to get first. And like I said at my age 48 every doctor I talked to said surgery is the best

I could opted for radiation first, it's obviously my choice but not the best choice in my situation

Thanks brother definitely a life-changing in eye opening prognosis. I'm glad my post reminded you to call the doctor. I really wanted to post up my experience to possibly help others in the future

Yeah definitely something you want to catch it early. Once it's out of the prostate the chances of living for a long time is very slim . The way this all fell into place for me I do consider myself very lucky and that someone's obviously looking out for me for some reason

Just spoke with my dad.
His PSA is 5+.
He just had an MRI and will do a biopsy next month.
They think it might be a tumor so im hoping for the best.

He is in a country with nationalized healthcare so everything moves very slow.

Sorry to hear that brother. The best thing if there is such a thing about prostate cancer it is very slow moving. The doctor told me I could go 5 or 10 years before even seeing any symptom. All we can do is hope for the best I'm sure everything will be fine

UPDATE:::::

little over a week post surgery .Spent two nights in the hospital to make sure my body functions were working correct IE: I pooped lol .Had a catheter in for a week . Road trip yesterday to the DR to get checked and it removed

DRs feel very confident they got all the cancer ,They said the prostate came out in one piece in its "shell" . Pet scan and more blood work in a few weeks to make sure its all gone

No lifting ...10lb max , pushing or pulling for 8 weeks . I had a bit out of the gym before my surgery to take care of things while I was off so no im fluffy as hell , haven't been this "out of shape in a very long time .

Cant wait to be able to hit it again . Don't get me wrong im very very thankful we caught this early

My dad was diagnosed last week with aggressive prostate cancer. Have no idea what that really means since he didnt know the stage.
