Default Best Dht Blocker

Other than propecia what can I use as a good DHT blocker.
I'm 45 I have been on for 8 years straight and I have never had any problems always had thick hair and in the last year its been starting to get thinner and I'm not doing any crazy blasts and I cruise at 250mg a week of test.
I am using regenepure Dr and I haven't noticed much other than dry scalp.
If anyone has any experience with any vitamins or topical lotions and shampoos can you please let me know.
Thanks

Hey Mike - I've tried it all. The truth is, most (if not all) shampoos that claim to block DHT are nothing more than snake oil. The only active ingredient in a shampoo that has any anecdotal evidence of being able to combat DHT on the scalp, is possibly Ketoconazole. The OTC strength of 1% isn't all that effective either, so if you're going to go this route, I'd suggest trying to get the 2% from your Doctor. It can certainly dry your scalp out by quite a bit, so your hair may actually look less dense and more brittle after the first few applications.

Aside from that, Finasteride is one of the most effective treatments. I was on it for over two years, and my side effects were mostly impossible to notice. I just recently switched to Dutasteride, which hasn't been as pleasant of an experience as Finasteride, but still tolerable - EDIT: If you do go the Finasteride or Dutasteride route, please get it from your Doctor. I first tried some from a sponsor on here, and it messed me up pretty bad.

There was a topical anti-Androgen being researched a couple of years back, RU 58841 - It was discontinued during trials, with no reason as to why. But research shows it had some profound benefits without all of the systemic side effects of Finasteride / Dutasteride. At minimum, give it a quick Google search and read up on it. I recently started mixing my own batches and have been using it topically for the past month or two. Nothing shattering to report yet, but as I'm sure you know, this isn't an overnight fix.

Aside from that, I'd always recommend using the main three staples in any hair loss routine (commonly referred to as the Big 3) - Minoxidil, Ketoconazole, Finasteride. If you're not willing to take one of those three, look into Emu Oil (seriously), or a derma roller (I use a 1.5mm once a week). I've gone as far as having two transplant surgeries for my hair, and even that isn't a miracle treatment. They can only transplant so many hairs in such a dense area. It's nice for filling spots in, but if you're balding - No chance.

I can't seem to find any (credible) evidence on this.

Could you please support your claim?

I have heard so many horror stories about Propecia and not being able to get it up anymore.
I would rather be bald and have sex than have a full head of hair and limp dick.

Before I started Dutasteride, I took 1.25mg of Finasteride per day for over a year. No side effects. I did notice a drastic decrease in libido with Dutasteride, but it returned after a month of consistent use.
