Default Ketogenic Cycling

Hey fellas, so just wanted to get some opinions. Brief little history. I'm almost 39 years old, have done maybe a 6-8 10-16 week cycles in my life. basically just test tren winny cycles.. I have a very hard time leaning down to show like levels. So past few times i leaned my self down as much as i could, i did a low fat high protein and cycled carbs based on my work outs.. generally between 50g on a day i didnt workout (which was rare) and then up to like 300g on a leg day. This worked well got me down to about 10% body fat. i generally start in the high 19-20% area if im just eating whatever i want.. The frustration was 3 years in a row i got down to about 9-10% body fat, and then after 16-20 weeks of eating perfect miserably clean meals, id go away for my birthday for 3 days and come back 20-30 lbs heavier and depressed lol. generally fall back into eating sugary shit and put most of the weight if not all back on within a week or 2 and stop lifting and basically do that every year.

Well this past summer i was biggest at 225 with my abs showing pretty well, over the winter my father passed away i kinda just went into burying my self in my basement doing stuff on the computer 20 hours a day and eating nothing but pizza and bagels and chienese food and drinking gallons of arizona iced tea daily. little do i have to say i ended up at 263lbs. i am 6'3 tall. So, about 2 weeks ago i got my ass in gear and decided to try out a Ketogenic diet since a buddy of mine had insane results with fat loss and leaning out. he went from 315lbs down to 175, had minimal stretched skin and nice abs now in 10 months. Was a pretty amazing thing to watch.

I will tell you i love Ketogenic dieting vs the clean carbs and boring eggwhites and oatmeal crap. so i started at 263 this at my 2 week weigh in which was this past tuesday i was 248. I am getting to the gym about 5 times a week, and based on my mood i either do 45 minutes just of cardio (low intensity) or i lift. with 12 months out of the gym my strength has been struggling but i know that will come back, plus being in keto i noticed the big weight movements destroy my stamina.

My goal - i want to get back down to about 220-225 area naturally. I would like to see my abs again before touching gear... now the question i have is Do i try to push a test tren winny diet without carbs?? i am sub 20g of carbs a day generally just from nuts. Or do i pull my fats down and try to run maybe like 100-300g of carbs based on my days and just put them around my workouts? Maybe do like an intermittent fast into just carb protein meals ?? anyone have any experience?

I do strict keto with 1 cheat meal a week, fast for around 3 hours when I get up eat biggest meals at right before bed( I train at night). Works very well. Anything more specific would be happy to answer. 50 years old 235 with around 7% body-fat, But I am a hyper responder to keto. I can grow while losing fat at the same time. Also tren is your best friend for the feedlot efficiency it imparts.

I started my first keto cycle today. I'm doing it for just
25 days until my meet weigh ins so I can drop all the eater weight from my high carb diet to get the lowest bodyweight possible.

The weekly cheat meal doesn't take you out of ketosis? I also started keto recently and am curious about cycling carbs back in without going out of ketosis. I have some keto test strips to test my liver values so I plan on following up the day after a carb up and see if my ketones drop significantly.

The strips really arent a good indicator from what I'm told. It will tell you if your peeing fat but not really if your burning it. TheRoid posted something a while back about carbing up every 10 days with 2gm of carbs per 1lb of body weight. Will be enough to fill up but not have any overflow. I did it last year and it worked really well. On the strips I never got into the dark purple.

Im currently in dark purple from 5 days of sub 20g carbs and minimal caffeine (apparently caffeine can spike insulin). I was thinking somewhere around the 10 day mark seeing as how it took me 5 days to reach this point which would give me around 5 days of full ketosis. I'll try and find that post/thread you mentioned.

watch out that you have always enough fats in diet. people tend to make that mistake (it is not a protein diet) and sorry but on ketogenic diet cheat meal every week...that even newbe wont do...crazy to even lolaborate on it....
you need to stay on ketogenic state longer...and meal isnt 3hours long with fuckload of food. from what you write do not even touch T3 or it will cut off all the muscles you have and you will have skiny fat form sorry

So i havent done a refeed yet, I am in the middle of my 6th week, i weighed in yesterday at 236.4 from 263 when i started. Down to losing about 1-2 lbs a week right now which i guess is normal, my training has been kind of half assed, i generally get my 30-45 minutes of the stepper in about 3-4 times a week, and ill generally hit some body parts weight training, i do notice that i can get much better work outs in now then the first few weeks of the diet, i guess i am getting more "Fat Adapted" my birthday is end of august that was when i planned on my first carb up.. but im not sure if its worth doing earlier on, if it will benefit fat loss or not, i also wanted to wait about 10 more pounds before starting my test tren winny stack. Ill keep you guys posted. I dont want to really take gear till im in my 5 day a week + training and a bit more focused, although being on gear generally gets me focused like that anyway. weird how the mind works sometimes.

good to know.. i guess ill just expect some water weight to come back on for a bit... want to lean down a bit more, then flood my muscles with some glycogen and see what happens, might actually look better then flat keto look.
